Expanded Functionality: Custom Object Record View Tracking with RecordWatch

You asked, we delivered! The Oniic team is incredibly excited to announce that RecordWatch’s record view tracking functionality for Salesforce has been expanded to include custom objects!

RecordWatch is the only fully Salesforce native solution available on the Salesforce AppExchange that allows admins, RevOps teams, sales leaders, and compliance teams to track and report on what records users are actually looking at in Salesforce. This data is unmatched in measuring and driving adoption and usage of what, for most orgs, is one of their most expensive software investments – Salesforce.

Launched in 2023, RecordWatch initially allowed the tracking of record views for the six most commonly used standard objects: Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Opportunities, Cases, and Campaigns. With the Quail 1.6 release, available today in the AppExchange, RecordWatch’s tracking capabilities have been expanded to include all custom and standard objects (that have a Lightning Record Page).

You can now track user’s record views for the standard objects mentioned above, plus: Orders, Knowledge Articles, Products, Campaign Members, Events and Tasks, Pricebooks… The list goes on. Plus, all custom objects!

As with previous RecordWatch releases, ease of implementation was a major consideration with custom record tracking, and we’ve delivered on that. Custom object tracking can be implemented in minutes with the latest RecordWatch release, allowing orgs to hit the ground running in measuring and driving Salesforce adoption.

So, what does this release mean for you?

  • Expanded Tracking Capabilities: RecordWatch now enables visibility across all standard and custom objects within Salesforce, offering admins unparalleled insight into user behavior and record engagement.

  • Enhanced Adoption Insights: With access to data on record views across any object, organizations can now identify which records and objects drive user engagement, creating more targeted strategies to increase adoption.

  • Actionable Usage Reporting: By aggregating record view data, RecordWatch empowers leadership to generate reports that reveal user interaction trends, helping pinpoint areas for improving Salesforce training, usability, and overall experience.

  • Compliance and Audit Support: The new release equips compliance teams with comprehensive record-access tracking for critical data points across the organization, ensuring compliance standards are met and easily auditable.

  • Streamlined Configuration for Any Object Type: Admins can seamlessly configure RecordWatch to track custom objects as easily as standard ones, making setup quick and flexible for any unique Salesforce environment.
